So far the quotes I have are like this: 1 - 20 a month ($32) I pay first 100 of vet bills, they payout up to 1,500 2 - 45 a month (71) I pay first 100 of vet bills, they payout up to 7,500. Now, while I want whats best for my pet, Im not made of money, 45 a month is a lot of money. But with the 20 insurance, after 1.5 years I have paid more into the insurance than I will ever get back from them... So would it be reasonable of me to instead of paying 20 into insurance, pay 20 into a separate high interest bank account that is only for vet bills. Saving up 20 a month for the 12-16 years my dog lives. So say something happens when they are 5, thats 1200 in the bank for them. (Plus interest) Usually dogs get ill in their prime, so say if they got ill at 9 thats 1,920 for them. (Plus interest) Im a bit of a safety freak so Im not too worried about injuries such as car accidents or dog attacks as I would stay way clear of other dogs. Id be more concerned about leg injuries or infections...cancer. But with cancer, depending on the age and likely hood of survival as each case is different, it may not even go to surgery. Wouldnt want to put a pet through a stressful and painful operation if they weren't likely to recover afterwards or there was a high chance they'd die on the table. What do you think? (1 = $1.6)

I am 17 years old, male, my birthday is 7/11/94. I am looking to buy a car to learn to drive in then finally fully insure. I have not passed my test you but when asked on insurance website's I have put under the 'time held licence for as 1 month just to get a realistic view. I have tried a huge variety of cars but I just can't seem to get them to a reasonable price. For example I have been quoted 5999 on a seat alto 1.0 litre on gocompare. My payment was due November 20th and I sent the check on November 3rd. At the time, I made several checks, you know, paying bills and I didnt notice but I sent my insurance check to a Charity (I have a little boy that I sponsor and every month I send a $20 check) and the Charity check to the insurance company. Well, apparently my insurance company cashed the check and cancelled my insurance without letting me know. The only reason I know my insurance was cancelled is because the Charity returned my $300 check and thats when I realized my mistake. When I called my insurance, it was already cancelled 5 days prior and even though they cashed the $20 check, that wasnt even made out to them, they refused to reinstate my policy. I had to make a whole new policy and set up for them to take the money directly out of my checking account. My question is, is this fair? Did I just get screwed out of my money?

Hi everyone. I have a 1996 saturn that has just been sitting for about two years now. I have a few questions. The car's tags expired about a year and a half ago, so in order to get new ones, i have to get it inspected and fixed and whatnot. I dont want to drive a car with expired tags, but is this what ill have to do in order to get them? And before I can get it inspected, i have to have the title for the car, right? My dads name is on the title, but he lost it when we moved. Can I get a new copy of the title, or does he have to do it? One more question, my dad stopped paying for insurance on it a long time ago. Like, a long time ago. Should I get it insured before i try anything else? In my mind, I plan on getting the title first, then getting it insured, getting it inspected, and then getting tags to make my car legal. Is this the right approach? how does that work when I go to the doctor? I just asked the same question, but I worded it all wrong, I think. So, I go to the doctor with strep throat and my co-pay is $50 and I have a $10000 deductable. How much will I actually pay? Logic tells me that with a deductable, like car insurance, I would pay for the entire office visit cost, since it would obviously be less than $10000. And a $25 co-pay for prescriptions! So, with that said, I would be paying a monthly payment of $900, the $50 co-pay, and the visit bill. I understand that insurance is for when really bad things happen, but geez. Is this really what people pay? We've been without insurance for 4 years and pay about $30 and office visit (by paying cash) and go to Publix and get $4 prescriptions. Please, someone expain this to me. Do you pay this expense simply because of the possibility of something bad happening?
